Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, Chief of Army Staff, charged 3,439 newly trained Nigerian Army recruits at the 89th Regular Intake Passing Out Parade in Zaria, urging them to uphold loyalty, discipline, and professionalism.
The recruits completed six months of intensive training at Depot Nigerian Army, a key training site since 1924, and were recognized for their dedication.
Shaibu emphasized their critical role in strengthening national security amid ongoing domestic and transnational threats, reaffirming the Army’s commitment to being a professional, combat-ready force.
He called for integrity, human rights respect, and adherence to the Oath of Allegiance, while commending training staff, leadership, and partners including President Tinubu and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani.
