Nebraska senators recommend expelling Sen. Daniel McKeon over groping allegations, pending January vote.
The Nebraska Legislature’s Executive Board has unanimously recommended expelling Sen. Daniel McKeon over allegations he groped a female staffer at a spring party, citing a pattern of behavior rather than a single incident.
The Nebraska State Patrol previously charged him with misdemeanor public indecency, later downgraded to disturbing the peace by the Lancaster County Attorney.
McKeon’s attorney says he plans to plead no contest but denies sexual intent.
A court appearance is set for December 17, following a delay due to missed appearances.
The full legislature must still vote on expulsion during its January session.
