Evacuation orders remain for 325 Abbotsford homes as flood recovery continues.

The City of Abbotsford lifted evacuation alerts for 1,069 properties in Sumas Prairie and downgraded 160 from orders to alerts as flood conditions improved, with 325 properties still under evacuation orders as of December 13, 2025. Rapid damage assessments by city staff and Canada Task Force 1 used green, yellow, and red placards to indicate re-entry status, with most homes assessed during the downgrade marked green.
