BRS to rally over water rights, blaming Congress and BJP for cutting Telangana’s irrigation water.
The Bharat Rashtra Samithi will hold a key meeting on December 19, chaired by former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, focusing on Telangana’s water rights amid disputes over Krishna and Godavari river allocations.
The party accuses the Congress government of allowing Andhra Pradesh to exceed tribunal-mandated water usage and of reducing Telangana’s allocation for the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Project from 91 TMC to 45 TMC.
BRS also criticizes BJP MPs for failing to oppose the reduced allocation, alleging the central government favors Andhra Pradesh.
The meeting will discuss plans for a new public movement to defend Telangana’s agricultural interests and water security.
BRS se reunirá por los derechos del agua, culpando al Congreso y al BJP por cortar el agua de irrigación de Telangana.
