Ayodhya’s Ram Temple prepares for 200,000 daily pilgrims ahead of December 31 Pran Pratishtha.
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is preparing for a major influx of pilgrims at Ayodhya’s Ram Temple, implementing crowd control measures including two new shoe storage facilities that can hold 25,000 pairs at once and manage up to 200,000 daily.
A 3.5-kilometre boundary wall is under construction with input from security agencies, though no completion date has been set.
The trust is building a new temple at the site of the former wooden structure where Ram Lalla was enshrined until January 2024.
Pran Pratishtha Ekadashi is set for December 31, with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh confirmed to attend, and Prime Minister Modi previously symbolically completed construction by hoisting the saffron 'Dharma Dhwaj'.
