Actor Peter Greene, known for his role in The Mask, was found dead at his Lower East Side New York City apartment on December 13, 2025. Police discovered him face down with blood present during a wellness check at 3:25 p.m., but the death did not appear suspicious. Authorities have not released the cause of death. Neighbors reported hearing Christmas music playing nonstop for over 24 hours before entry, and a note reading “I’m still a Westie” was found on the door. Greene’s manager said he had recently recovered from surgery to remove a benign lung tumor and was in good health. The official cause remains undetermined.
