Uttarakhand launches Aroma Revolution Policy to boost aromatic plant industry to ₹1,200 crore by 2036.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the Aroma Revolution Policy 2026–36, aiming to increase the state’s aromatic plant industry turnover from ₹100 crore to ₹1,200 crore in ten years.
The policy, effective from next fiscal year, includes developing seven aroma valleys and five satellite centers across several districts, establishing a new testing lab, and offering subsidies to farmers—80% for up to one hectare and 50% for larger plots—with government support for all stages of production.
It targets nearly 100,000 farmers and includes a MoU to boost Timur production.
Dhami credited central agricultural reforms, including raising farmer credit limits to ₹5 lakh.
