U.S. will end Family Reunification Parole for seven nations Jan. 14, 2026, unless I-485 was filed by Dec. 15, 2025.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security will end Family Reunification Parole programs for nationals from Cuba, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, and Honduras, effective January 14, 2026.
The move, aimed at stopping perceived abuses and strengthening security, cancels temporary permits unless a pending Adjustment of Status (Form I-485) was filed by December 15, 2025.
Employment authorization tied to the parole will also be revoked.
DHS will notify affected individuals and encourages voluntary departure through CBP Home, with some eligible for exit bonuses and travel aid.
