Mondelez is launching Oreo Zero Sugar and Oreo Double Stuf Zero Sugar nationwide in January, marking the first time sugar-free versions of the cookies are available in the U.S. after a four-year development effort.
The products, already sold in Europe and China, aim to meet rising consumer demand for healthier snacks.
A 22.6-gram serving has 90 calories, 4.5 grams of fat, 16 grams of carbohydrates, and zero added sugars, compared to 160 calories, 7 grams of fat, and 25 grams of carbohydrates—including 13 grams of added sugar—in a 34-gram serving of regular Oreos.
The launch follows a trend toward wellness-focused eating and comes amid competition from sugar-free offerings by Hershey and Voortman.
