Kids in Beamsville built a 337-meter loom band bracelet chain, breaking the world record.
Children from St. John Catholic Elementary School and the St. John YMCA Child Care Centre in Beamsville, Ontario, have set a new Guinness World Record for the longest loom band bracelet chain at 337.12 metres, far exceeding the previous record of 46.85 metres.
Initiated by eight-year-old Adela Arciszewski in September 2024, the project involved 24 children and was measured using GPS and 35 data points across the school’s parking lot and King Street.
The effort required extensive documentation and five months of verification.
The group, known as the “St John-Y Lincoln Loom Legends,” received a certificate and their record is now listed on Guinness’s website.
The achievement was celebrated amid extreme weather, including lake-effect snow.
