The Indian Navy will commission DSC A20, its first indigenously built diving support craft, on December 16 in Kochi.
Built by Titagarh Rail Systems Limited in Kolkata, the vessel features a catamaran hull, 390-ton displacement, and advanced diving systems for coastal underwater missions.
Designed under the 'Make in India' initiative, it meets Indian Register of Shipping standards and underwent testing at the Naval Science and Technological Laboratory.
The craft will operate under the Southern Naval Command, enhancing India’s underwater capabilities.
