On December 10, 2025, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha honored eight global changemakers at the Veer Savarkar International Impact Awards in New Delhi, hosted by HRDS INDIA.
The event recognized contributions to governance, social reform, and humanitarian service, with Sinha announcing a new initiative to build 1,500 modern homes in Jammu and Kashmir to boost social security and self-reliance.
HRDS INDIA, founded in 1995, highlighted its mission to deliver one million homes for tribal communities and expand rural development, women’s empowerment, healthcare, education, and environmental conservation across India.
The ceremony included a tribute to Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, a cultural performance, and a dance-drama by women from the Sudarsanam De-Radicalisation Programme.
