Apollo Global's ASC invested in Wrexham AFC for stadium upgrades, with Reynolds and McElhenney keeping majority control.
Ryan Reynolds has confirmed that Apollo Sports Capital (ASC), an affiliate of Apollo Global, has become a new minority investor in Wrexham AFC, providing funding for the STōK Cae Ras stadium redevelopment, including the new Kop Stand.
The investment, announced December 8, 2025, supports the club’s long-term growth while Reynolds and co-chairman Rob McElhenney retain majority ownership.
They emphasized their commitment to Wrexham’s community and Premier League ambitions, praising ASC’s alignment with their vision and long-standing ties to ASC CEO Al Tylis.
ASC, launched in September, focuses on long-term capital for global sports and live events and also owns Atletico Madrid.
The move was welcomed by fans on Instagram as a step toward Wrexham’s future success.
