Valmet Oyj has completed a EUR 375 million long-term Schuldschein loan, its first such transaction, on December 12, 2025. The loan, arranged by BNP Paribas, SEB, and Helaba, includes 11 tranches with maturities from three to ten years and an average term of nearly six years. Substantially oversubscribed, the issuance more than doubled Valmet’s initial target, signaling strong investor confidence. The move diversifies funding sources, extends debt maturity, and broadens its investor base. As of Q3 2025, Valmet’s gearing was 38%, below its 50% target. The company, with EUR 5.4 billion in 2024 sales and 19,000 employees across 40 countries, is listed on Nasdaq Helsinki.
