Scherri-Lee Biggs, former Miss Universe Australia and 9News Perth weather presenter since 2014, will join 9News Melbourne in January 2026 to replace Livinia Nixon, who is retiring after 20 years. Biggs, 35, will debut during the Australian Open coverage, returning to Melbourne for family reasons. Nixon, who started with Nine in 1997, will continue on travel programs like Getaway and Postcards. Biggs brings over a decade of live broadcasting experience and will join anchors Alicia Loxley, Tom Steinfort, and Tony Jones.
