Ohio Gov. DeWine hasn't endorsed Vivek Ramaswamy, while Acton and Ramaswamy likely secure GOP nominations.
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has not yet endorsed Vivek Ramaswamy for governor, despite ongoing discussions, saying he continues to evaluate Ramaswamy’s positions. DeWine, who takes full responsibility for pandemic decisions, declined to comment on attacks against Democratic nominee Amy Acton, the former health director branded “Dr. Lockdown” for her pandemic measures. Acton resigned in 2020, citing political pressure, including from former Speaker Larry Householder, now imprisoned. With other candidates dropping out, Ramaswamy and Acton appear poised to secure their party nominations.
