JSW Energy secures 25-year deal to supply 400 MW to Karnataka, boosting stability and growth.
JSW Energy’s subsidiary, JSW Energy (Utkal) Ltd, has signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement with Karnataka distribution companies to supply 400 MW of power starting April 1, 2026, at ₹5.78 per kWh.
The deal reduces the company’s uncontracted power capacity to 5%, improving revenue stability.
It brings total locked-in generation capacity to 30.5 GW, including 13.3 GW operational and 12.4 GW under construction, along with 29.4 GWh of energy storage.
The company remains on track to reach 30 GW of generation and 40 GWh of storage by 2030, with a goal of carbon neutrality by 2050.
Its shares rose significantly following the announcement, supported by a fundraising plan and executive changes.
