Vedanta invests Rs 1 lakh crore in Rajasthan to expand zinc, lead, silver, oil & gas, and renewables, boosting production and infrastructure.
Vedanta Ltd, led by Anil Agarwal, announced a Rs 1 lakh crore investment in Rajasthan to double production of zinc, lead, silver, oil & gas, and renewable energy.
The plan includes developing the Zinc International Industrial Park to host 200 industries, providing infrastructure to boost SMEs and downstream sectors, and building north India’s first phosphate fertilizer plant.
The company said its investments have contributed over Rs 1.5 lakh crore to Rajasthan’s economy and nearly Rs 3 lakh crore in government revenues over the past decade, with production increasing tenfold since acquiring Hindustan Zinc, enabling India to become a silver exporter.
