Toyota cut 2026 bZ4X EV prices in Australia, boosting range and features, but sales remain low despite upgrades.
Toyota has slashed prices for its 2026 bZ4X electric SUV in Australia, with the front-wheel-drive model now starting at $55,990 and the all-wheel-drive version at $67,990, down from $66,000 and $74,990.
Upgrades include more powerful motors, increased range—up to 591km for FWD and 517km for AWD—and new standard features like a 14.0-inch touchscreen, dual wireless chargers, heated steering wheel, and power tailgate.
A new Touring trim will launch in mid-2026 with enhanced performance and storage.
Despite these improvements, the bZ4X has sold fewer than 1,000 units in Australia through 2025, reflecting broader struggles for EVs like the Hyundai Ioniq 5, which also cut prices.
The vehicle retains a five-star ANCAP safety rating, and all Toyota models come with a five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty.
