Russo, 67, a Roscommon County commissioner, was charged with three counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct involving a 16-year-old with an intellectual disability and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Arrested on November 21, he appeared in court on December 10, 2025, pleading not guilty. The case, investigated by Michigan State Police and prosecuted by a special prosecutor, alleges abuse occurred between 2021 and 2024. Russo posted $37,500 of a $150,000 bond. His next court date is December 19. All are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
