Rolls-Royce opens joint-venture engine maintenance facility in Beijing, starting work in 2026.
Rolls-Royce has launched its first aircraft engine MRO joint venture on mainland China, Beijing Aero Engine Services Limited (BAESL), officially opening in Beijing on December 10, 2025.
The 59,000-square-meter facility, certified by China’s Civil Aviation Administration, is a 50-50 venture with Air China and will begin overhauling Trent 700, Trent XWB-84, and Trent 1000 engines in 2026, aiming for 250 annual overhauls by 2034.
The move strengthens Rolls-Royce’s global maintenance network and supports its growth in China, a key market for wide-body aircraft.
