Marmota finds high-grade gold at Greenewood, South Australia, with grades up to 109 g/t over nearly 1 km.
Marmota Limited has announced exceptional gold results from its maiden drilling at the Greenewood project in South Australia’s Gawler Craton, with grades reaching up to 109 grams per tonne over nearly 1 kilometer of continuous strike.
High-grade intercepts, mostly within 67 meters of the surface, include multiple sections exceeding 10g/t, with 28 intersections above that threshold.
The deposit, still open-ended, is part of Marmota’s “Arc of Gold” strategy near the historic Challenger mine and Aurora Tank project.
A second drilling campaign is underway with up to 85 holes, and a scoping study is in progress.
The discovery has driven the company’s shares up 76% to 12.5 cents, as gold prices remain above A$6,200 per ounce.
