The state added 3,700 nonfarm jobs, with gains in construction, retail, and education, while manufacturing saw a 600-job increase in durable goods despite a year-over-year loss of 4,100 positions.
Employment rose to 1.676 million, and initial unemployment claims dropped 25% compared to the prior year.
The data, delayed by the federal government shutdown, will be released in batches starting January 7.
