flag A Dublin jury viewed CCTV of Patrick Murphy’s alleged 2024 stabbing of Jordan Ronan, whom Murphy claims he killed in self-defense.

A jury at Dublin’s Central Criminal Court has viewed CCTV footage of the July 26, 2024, stabbing of 20-year-old Jordan Ronan outside his Tallaght home, where Patrick Murphy, 37, admitted to the act but denies murder, claiming self-defense. Footage shows Murphy exiting his home and approaching his BMW before the fatal attack. A Revolut card registered to Murphy was found on Ronan’s body. Murphy, who claimed he was preparing for a job interview, appeared unusually composed and well-groomed during questioning, contradicting his account of being recently awakened. His white Transit van, parked with an unlocked door, was later searched. The trial continues before Mr Justice Kerida Naidoo and a 12-member jury.
