Australia has named 19-year-old left-handed batter Oliver Peake as captain for the 2025 ICC Under-19 Men's Cricket World Cup, where he will lead the team in Zimbabwe and Namibia starting January 15.
Peake, who scored 120 runs including an unbeaten 46 in the 2024 final against India, is the only player from that championship-winning squad selected.
The team, praised by coach Tim Nielsen for its balance and depth, includes returning players like Will Malajczuk, Nitesh Samuel, and William Taylor.
Australia is in Group C with Ireland, Japan, and Sri Lanka.
