Arizona Cardinals running back Trey Benson, who suffered a knee injury in Week 4 on September 25, will not return this season, head coach Jonathan Gannon confirmed.
Benson, 23, was placed on injured reserve on October 1, underwent meniscus surgery, and was designated to return on November 19 but did not progress enough to play.
He had rushed for 160 yards in four games and added 64 receiving yards.
The third-round 2024 draft pick had 574 yards from scrimmage and one touchdown in his first 17 games.
Additionally, left tackle Paris Johnson Jr. will miss Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans due to a knee injury.
