Jess Kiesel Lee, 43, of Kula, was sentenced to 40 months in prison and three years of supervised release for possessing explosive powder as a convicted felon.
He admitted to setting off a homemade explosive device near Kaamana Street in August 2024 and was found with multiple improvised explosive devices, methamphetamine, firearms, and additional explosive materials at his home.
One device bore his fingerprint and contained flash powder consistent with explosive firework residue.
