A man with a blood alcohol level over three times the legal limit was charged with aggravated manslaughter after a crash killed a veteran and injured his wife.

A 23-year-old man, Marcus A. Young, has been charged with aggravated manslaughter in Gloucester Township after a crash on October 11, 2025, that killed 76-year-old Vietnam veteran Louis Bontya III and seriously injured his wife. Young, whose blood alcohol level was 0.2626 percent—over three times the legal limit—was driving 89 mph in a 45 mph zone when he ran a red light. He was previously charged with death by auto and assault by auto before the charges were upgraded. Young was arrested on December 9 and is held at the Camden County Correctional Facility. Authorities continue investigating and urge witnesses to come forward.
