Lexus launches entry-level RX450h+ PHEV in Australia, priced from $105,350.
Lexus has launched the RX450h+ Luxury in Australia, the first entry-level RX PHEV model, priced at $105,350 before on-road costs—$18,300 less than the previous base PHEV.
It features a 2.5-litre petrol engine and electric motor producing 227kW and an EPA-tested 60km electric range on an 18.1kWh battery.
The model includes a panoramic sunroof, digital instruments, large touchscreen with wireless smartphone integration, and heated/ventilated seats, but lacks premium features like larger wheels and adaptive dampers found on higher trims.
The move follows a similar strategy with the NX450h+ Luxury and positions the RX PHEV against rivals like the BMW X3 30e, Mercedes-Benz GLC350e, and Volvo XC60 Ultra T8 Dark.
Toyota has also filed Australian patents for potential future RX PHEV models, including RX500h+ and RX550h+, suggesting higher-performance variants may be in development, though details remain unconfirmed.
