The Hyundai Elexio, an all-electric SUV developed by Beijing Hyundai, has been spotted in Melbourne, signaling its expected 2026 launch in Australia.
Built on the E-GMP platform, it offers two trims—160kW rear-wheel-drive and 230kW all-wheel-drive—with an 88.1kWh battery providing over 500km of WLTP range and 30% to 80% fast charging in about 27 minutes.
It features a 27-inch 4K display and head-up display.
Priced below the Ioniq 5’s $76,200 starting point, it will compete with the Tesla Model Y and Geely EX5.
Hyundai also plans a high-performance Ioniq 6 and a hydrogen-powered Nexo SUV for 2026.
