A 44,846-hectare Australian farm sold for $200M to Cleveland Agriculture after a U.S. bid fell through.
A major agricultural property in Coonamble, NSW, encompassing 44,846 hectares across Wingadee and Netherway, has been sold for $200 million to Cleveland Agriculture, an Australian company led by Malcolm Harris.
The deal marks a shift from previous international interest, as a U.S. group withdrew a $780 million bid due to market volatility.
The properties were part of the Australian Food and Agriculture Company’s portfolio, founded in 1993, which held 18 properties across NSW and significant water rights.
The sale follows the death of founder Colin Bell and the restructuring of the business.
