18-year-old Cole Reschny named to Canada’s 2026 World Junior team after strong college start.
Cole Reschny, an 18-year-old forward from Saskatchewan, has been named to Team Canada’s 2026 World Junior Championship preliminary roster after a strong start with the University of North Dakota, where he has 18 points in 16 games.
Selected 18th overall by the Calgary Flames in the 2025 NHL Draft, Reschny played 127 games for the Victoria Royals, totaling 152 career points.
He joins fellow Flames prospect Zayne Parekh on the 27-player roster, which includes top NHL draft picks and returning players.
The tournament will run from December 26, 2025, to January 5, 2026, in Minneapolis and St. Paul, with Canada opening against Czechia.
