Jasmine Coe, a 27-year-old barwoman from Halstead, was sentenced after admitting to drink driving in August, causing a crash that left a pedestrian bleeding and unconscious on Blasford Hill in Little Waltham. She had worked a shift at a Chelmsford pub and told police she had consumed one or two drinks before driving, later testing over the legal alcohol limit. Coe, who has no prior record and was praised for her role as a caregiver and deputy manager at Pizza Express, was given a one-year driving ban, a £614 fine, a £246 surcharge, and £110 in prosecution costs. The court acknowledged her remorse and good character but emphasized the dangers of drink driving, noting the risk of fatal outcomes.
