A Wisconsin man shot a cop, attacked his girlfriend, and stormed a school before surrendering.
A 28-year-old man from Superior, Wisconsin, Dylan Charles-Edward Wallace, has been charged with attempted homicide after a violent incident early Sunday, December 7, 2025, that began with a car crash and alleged domestic assault.
After crashing his vehicle and reportedly choking his girlfriend, Wallace returned home, retrieved an AK-47, handgun, and rifle, then drove toward Superior Middle School.
He opened fire on a police officer during a traffic stop, shooting her in the arm and striking her bulletproof vest before being shot in the stomach.
The officer was hospitalized but released.
Wallace rammed his van into the school, entered the building, and remained inside for several hours, firing weapons and damaging property.
He surrendered around 7 a.m., asking if the officer was okay.
Surveillance footage and recovered casings confirmed use of multiple firearms.
Wallace, who has prior convictions for reckless driving, illegal gun possession, and domestic assault, was ordered to remain in custody with $2 million cash bail.
He is barred from contacting the injured officer, the domestic abuse victim, or school property, and is prohibited from possessing firearms, alcohol, or driving if released.
