The Colorado Rockies are hiring 36-year-old Alon Leichman as their new pitching coach, replacing Darryl Scott after a 119-loss season.
Leichman, who previously served as an assistant pitching coach for the Marlins and Reds, has extensive experience in minor league and college baseball, including roles with the Dodgers, Mariners, and Reds.
Born in Israel and fluent in Spanish, he will also coach Team Israel in the 2026 World Baseball Classic.
The hire is part of a broader front-office overhaul following one of the worst seasons in MLB history.
