Peter Robinson testified in a Belfast fraud trial over allegations that financier Frank Cushnahan misled authorities about his role in connecting Pimco to a £4 billion Nama loan sale.
Former Northern Ireland first minister Peter Robinson testified in a Belfast fraud trial on December 8, 2025, as corporate financier Frank Cushnahan faces charges of failing to disclose his role in connecting Pimco to Northern Ireland’s 2013 Nama loan book sale.
Robinson, who knew Cushnahan for decades, described a May 2013 meeting at Stormont as a “meet and greet” with Pimco representatives, stating the firm later withdrew due to internal changes.
He confirmed Cushnahan served on Nama’s non-binding Northern Ireland Advisory Committee from 2010 to 2013 and denied any personal involvement with Pimco post-meeting, saying discussions occurred only at North-South ministerial forums.
The trial continues, with the case centering on allegations that Cushnahan misled authorities during the sale of a £4 billion loan portfolio, originally bought by Nama for £1.1 billion.
Peter Robinson testificó en un juicio por fraude en Belfast sobre las acusaciones de que el financiero Frank Cushnahan engañó a las autoridades sobre su papel en la conexión de Pimco con una venta de préstamos Nama de £ 4 mil millones.
