A 49-year-old man was shot multiple times in the upper body early Monday morning at a Mobil gas station in Aurora, Illinois, police say.
The incident occurred around 3:45 a.m. at 300 South Broadway, where the victim was pumping gas when a male suspect, described as wearing a gray coat, brown pants, and brown shoes, opened fire and fled eastbound.
The man was taken to a hospital in stable condition and is expected to recover.
Aurora police have released suspect images and are urging the public to come forward with information.
K-9 units searched the area but did not locate the suspect.
Authorities are offering up to $5,000 for tips leading to an arrest.
