On December 3, 2025, Guyana’s government unveiled a five-year national strategy to advance disability inclusion, committing to create 5,000 jobs for persons with disabilities in public and private sectors.
The plan includes mandatory accessibility requirements for 10% of space in new public infrastructure, concessionary financing for disability-owned businesses via a new Development Bank facility, and expanded vocational training, healthcare, transportation, and digital access.
