Cade Phillips, Tennessee’s junior forward, will miss the rest of the 2025-26 season due to surgery for a recurring shoulder injury.
University of Tennessee men’s basketball forward Cade Phillips will miss the rest of the 2025-26 season after undergoing surgery for a recurring left shoulder injury, the team announced. The junior from Jacksonville, Alabama, had started nine of the first 10 games, averaging 3.8 points and 4.0 rebounds in 16.9 minutes per game. He initially dislocated the shoulder in January and wore a full-arm brace this season. Tennessee plans to submit a medical redshirt application on his behalf. The Vols, coming off three straight losses, are off this week before hosting No. 8 Louisville on December 16.
