Two Republicans apply for vacant Luzerne County Election Board seat; interview set for Monday.

Two applicants, Al Arreguin and James Robinson, have applied for the Republican seat on Luzerne County’s Election Board, vacant after Alyssa Fusaro’s term ends. They will be interviewed by the County Council’s ABC Committee on Monday at 5 p.m. in the courthouse, with remote options available. No Republican candidates are currently on the eligibility list. The council will also vote on the 2026 budget and approved a 25% minimum bid for selling unused county lots, overriding Councilwoman LeeAnn McDermott’s push for a 10% threshold. County Manager Romilda Crocamo will host her annual home rule charter briefing Wednesday.
