Jetstar launches direct Melbourne-to-Colombo flights Aug. 25, 2026, with low-cost, nonstop service on upgraded Dreamliners.
Jetstar Airways will launch three weekly direct flights from Melbourne to Colombo, Sri Lanka, starting August 25, 2026, becoming the first Australian airline to offer low-cost nonstop service on the route.
The flights, operated with upgraded Boeing 787 Dreamliners featuring expanded business class, Wi-Fi, and a lie-flat crew rest area, will offer over 100,000 seats annually, with one-way fares starting at $315 during a 24-hour sale ending December 9, 2025.
The route marks a major expansion for Jetstar, which has added 26 new routes and 13 aircraft in two years, and coincides with its 10th anniversary operating from Melbourne’s Terminal 4.
