Jammu lays foundation for 350 disaster-resilient homes funded by HRDS-India.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha announced the foundation-laying of 350 pre-fabricated smart homes in Jammu, funded by NGO HRDS-India at Rs 35 crore, to aid families displaced by natural disasters and cross-border shelling.
The homes, designed for resilience and equipped with modern features, will include life insurance, health checkups, and maintenance coverage.
Sinha highlighted rapid infrastructure growth, improved mobility, and social welfare gains over the past five years, citing relief efforts for 4,309 affected individuals and compensation totaling Rs 8.22 crore.
