India's job portal links 8.17 crore jobs with 6 crore seekers, supporting a 2% unemployment rate, the lowest in the G20.
As of November 20, 2025, India’s National Career Service portal has mobilized over 8.17 crore job vacancies, with 6.02 crore job seekers and 54.27 lakh employers registered.
Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya cited the World Economic Forum’s 2025 report, noting India’s 2% unemployment rate—the lowest among G20 nations—attributing progress to government schemes, digital platforms, and partnerships with companies like Amazon and Swiggy.
The government also announced a Rs 2 lakh crore youth employment package, including the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana, aiming to create 3.5 crore jobs, with 1.92 million for first-time job seekers.
