The 2025 Australian Training Awards in Darwin honored top performers in vocational education and training across the country, with winners from the Northern Territory, ACT, and Tasmania receiving national recognition. Evangelene Rushforth of the NT won Apprentice of the Year after switching from law to mechanical fitting, while Shane Vincent from the ACT was runner-up for Vocational Student of the Year. Tasmania led with seven awards, including Gold for TasNetworks as Large Employer of the Year and the Civil Job Ready Program for Industry Collaboration. Other winners included Kayla Gagai, Trainee of the Year, and Riviera Australia, which won the Employer Award. The event, attended by over 700, highlighted the role of VET in fostering inclusion, employment, and skills development nationwide.
