A women’s group delivered 46 Christmas boxes to abuse survivors at a shelter, continuing an annual tradition of support.
A women’s walking group in Colchester, WalkNTalk, delivered 46 Christmas shoeboxes filled with gifts to women at the Next Chapter refuge, a shelter for domestic abuse survivors.
Founded by survivor Rebecca Woolf, the group grew from a Facebook initiative to over 1,700 members and raised thousands for charity.
This year, 18 members packed items like toiletries, socks, clothing, and treats, aiming to support women often overlooked during the holidays.
The gifts were handed over to Next Chapter staff, with plans to repeat the effort next year and continue hosting holiday walks for those feeling isolated.
