RIAT seeks permission for a 705-pitch temporary campsite at RAF Fairford for its 2025 airshow.
Organizers of the 2025 Royal International Air Tattoo are seeking planning permission for a 705-pitch campsite at Manor Farm near RAF Fairford, Wiltshire, to improve visitor experience during the July 17–19 event.
The site, open only during the airshow period, would include temporary facilities like toilets, showers, and entertainment areas, with caravan pitches limited to 50.
The land, currently used for parking, would be restored after the event.
The application requests up to 28 days of annual use for flexibility.
RIAT, now in its 54th year and held at RAF Fairford since 1985, draws about 175,000 visitors annually and features 200 static aircraft and 25 daily flying displays.
