Pakistani woman Nikita Nagdev has appealed to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for help after alleging her husband, Vikram Nagdev, abandoned her in 2020 following their marriage in Karachi, sent her back to Pakistan under a visa issue, and denied her re-entry into India.
She claims he is planning a second marriage in Delhi, accused him of emotional abuse and an affair, and filed a complaint in January 2025.
The Sindhi Panch Mediation and Legal Counsel Centre, acting under the Madhya Pradesh High Court, concluded in April 2025 that the case falls under Pakistani jurisdiction due to both parties being non-Indian citizens and recommended Vikram’s deportation.
A similar recommendation was made by the Indore Social Panchayat in May, and an inquiry by the Indore Collector is ongoing.
