A man died in a high-speed chase after refusing to stop, striking two troopers, in Allentown.
A 27-year-old Allentown man died early Sunday after a high-speed police pursuit following a traffic stop attempt.
The man, driving a 1999 Ford F-150, failed to stop, struck two Pennsylvania State Police troopers, and fled, leading to a chase that ended when the vehicle crashed into a fire hydrant, utility pole, and building on South 12th Street.
He was ejected and pronounced dead at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
Both troopers were injured but treated and released.
Authorities are investigating the incident, including the reason for the stop and the pursuit, but have not released the man’s name or further details.
