Lake Macquarie Council seeks new CEO and votes on two housing projects exceeding limits.
Lake Macquarie City Council has launched a public search for a new CEO following the August resignation of Morven Cameron, appointing Local Government NSW Management Solutions to lead the process with an advisory panel including Mayor Adam Shultz and councillors Jack Antcliff, Keara Conroy, and Kate Warner.
Acting CEO Tony Farrell will remain interim.
The council also plans to vote on two housing projects exceeding planning limits: a 16.6-meter mixed-use building in Belmont with 12 apartments and a commercial space, justified by proximity to services despite one resident objection, and a one-into-two-lot subdivision in Toronto for two group homes on smaller-than-minimum lots, with no public objections and staff recommending approval for efficient land use.
