The Great Parks of Hamilton County reopened the drain valve, allowing water to naturally return following repairs to the 1936 Kreis Dam and other structural upgrades.
The lake and walking trails remain closed, with reopening expected in late February 2026.
Fishing will be restricted for up to three years to restore fish populations.
